Quick to set up and easy to use, Kreg’s 720 joinery jig makes strong pocket-hole joints in a wide range of applications.
To hold it in position while you drill, a built-in clamp can be operated one-handed, automatically adjusting to fit 1/2" to 1 1/2" thick stock. The non-slip jaws prevent shifting in use, and you can adjust the clamping force to permit a firm hold without marring the work. Once set, it maintains the same force on any stock thickness, so you can switch workpieces without making adjustments.
Made of glass-reinforced nylon with a steel core, the drill guide block contains three hardened steel bushings, used to space two holes 9/16", 7/8" or 1 7/16" apart, depending on stock width.
Grooved for use in quick-change chucks, the included 6 1/4" HSS hex-shank drill bit has a 3/16" dia. by 1/2" pilot and a 3/8" dia. counterbore. For accurate depth settings, simply align a hole in the depth collar with one of the engraved markings on the shank, indicating the correct placement for 1/2", 3/4" and 1 1/2" thick material.
The jig has two sturdy support wings that snap into place for stability on large stock and can be removed when not in use. Their hinged lids let you use them to store screws, drill bits and other small accessories. Sliding work stops travel on a 6" track marked in 1/8" increments on top of each wing, and lock in position for precise, repeatable hole placement up to 8 3/4" from an edge.
A snap-in shroud connects to a 1 1/4" vacuum hose and comes with a 1 7/8" and 2 1/2" hose adapter. The jig also comes with a clamp to secure the jig to a bench or other work surface, a combination hex key/material-thickness gauge, two #2 square-recess drivers (6" and 3" long), and 160 pocket-hole screws (one hundred 1 1/4" screws and sixty 2 1/2" screws).

Fine threads are best suited to hardwoods, and coarse threads for softwood, particleboard and plywood. All are square-recess drive. Screw refills are available separately.
